Volunteering opportunities in Redbourn

Handypersons/Gardener(s) wanted to help improve & develop our site for public enjoyment/use. Help needed to develop & maintain our garden areas/workshop spaces.

Helping with fortnightly trips to a supermarket, either accompanying the client or shopping, with a list and money, on their behalf and delivery to them.

Driving clients to and from medical or social appointments using your own car. Offering additional help as necessary, e.g. an arm to hold, department location.

Providing one - off help with gardening and minor DIY tasks such as putting up a shelf, re-tuning a TV, replacing a light bulb, assembling flat pack furniture

The friendly voice people hear when they contact us requesting help. Using our "matching" computer system, arrangements are made with available volunteers.

Provides regular companionship with a liked minded client sharing similar interests. Usually visiting for a friendly chat, on a weekly or fortnightly basis.

We are looking for a handyman to help keep our wildlife hospital and rehab centre in good working order.
