Summary

Stevenage parkrun takes place every Saturday at 9am with volunteers arriving by 8.30 in order to be briefed and meet the team.

Detailed description

Stevenage parkrun at Fairlands Valley Park is a free, community event where participants can walk, jog or run 5k and it takes place every Saturday morning.

Everyone of any age or background can come and volunteer. You don't need any experience of parkrun or volunteering, you certainly don’t need to be a runner or have tried anything like this before.

There are different roles to try, such as marshalling or handing out finish tokens, you can apply your skills or learn new ones. All the roles are straightforward and there are always other volunteers on hand to show you the ropes and answer any questions. It is rewarding and fun too!

Do contact us if you would like to find out more and get involved.

Getting there

Volunteers meet near Costello's Cafe. If you're driving, parking is free. The park also has Beryl Bike bays.
