South Oxhey parkrun at South Oxley Playing Fields is a free, community event where participants can walk, jog or run 5k and it takes place every Saturday morning.
Everyone of any age or background can come and volunteer. You don't need any experience of parkrun or volunteering, you certainly don’t need to be a runner or have tried anything like this before. There are different roles to try, such as marshalling or handing out finish tokens, you can apply your skills or learn new ones. All the roles are straightforward and there are always other volunteers on hand to show you the ropes and answer any questions.It is rewarding and fun too!
