About Unseen Expeditions UK CIO
Unseen Expeditions UK is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) pioneering a unique approach to mental health, wellbeing, and education through long-term, self-supported global expeditions. Our flagship project, The Unseen Mile, is a 4.5-year, 25,000-mile walking expedition across 37 countries, demonstrating how immersive adventure and outdoor activity can build resilience, confidence, and mental wellbeing.
We work in partnership with UK mental health charities and educational institutions to create learning opportunities, raise awareness, and inspire people to overcome personal challenges. Our work includes community engagement, storytelling, and public outreach, with all projects governed under robust CIO structures to ensure transparency, safety, and lasting impact.
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support governance, communications, fundraising, and media activities to help bring our mission to life and expand the positive impact of adventure on mental health.
