We’re currently looking for volunteers aged 18 or over who can commit to a regular Saturday morning or afternoon shift, preparing donations.
Make your Saturdays matter — volunteer at The Living Room Charity Shop
Love discovering hidden gems, getting things organised or being part of a friendly team? Join us and help turn generous donations into support for people affected by addiction.
Our charity shop raises vital funds so that people can access The Living Room’s services free of charge. Every item prepared for sale helps make that possible.
How you can help
We’re currently looking for volunteers aged 18 or over who can commit to a regular Saturday morning or afternoon shift, lasting no more than four hours.
You’ll help sort donations, prepare stock for the shop floor and carry out light housekeeping to keep the shop tidy and welcoming. Our shop managers will guide you as you get to know the role.
What you’ll bring — and what we’ll offer
You don’t need qualifications or previous experience. We’re looking for people who are reliable, friendly and willing to get involved as part of an inclusive team. If you have skills you’d like to share, tell us about them when you apply.
We’ll provide an induction, all the training you need and ongoing support. We’ll also talk with you about any support or adjustments you may need to take part comfortably.
Volunteering is a chance to meet people, build confidence and learn new skills while doing something worthwhile for your community. If you’re gaining experience before looking for paid work, we can also provide a reference based on your time with us.
Drop into our shop to collect your application form or visit our website and complete digitally.
