Detailed description

Mind in Mid Herts is looking for enthusiastic, friendly and reliable volunteers to support the hoarding group at our Stevenage Wellbeing Centre. Group attendees talk about issues around hoarding with guidance and support from our Project Officer.

Tasks include:

  • Preparing the room for the group
  • Welcoming people we support to the group and ensuring they are comfortable
  • Supporting the facilitator with the discussion
  • Engaging with the group
  • Debriefing with the facilitator after each session
  • Other ad hoc tasks as needed

We are particularly looking for volunteers who have the following attributes:

Enthusiasm; motivation; a desire to learn; lived experience with people with mental ill health (either personally or through others); active listening skills; reliability and punctuality; a non-judgmental outlook.

This is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference and give back to the local community.
