About Hertfordshire Festival of Music

The Hertfordshire Festival of Music was formed in 2016 and registered with the Charity Commission in 2017 (Charity Number: 1175716). Established as the county's first large scale annual classical music festival our aim was, and remains, to provide a focus for the county's vibrant music culture and bring world-class musicians to perform in community locations. An annual summer Festival week is held in early June, delivering a series of concerts and talks engaging with over 1,000 people each year. The outreach programmes take musical activities and experiences to those who may be isolated or marginalised (for example those living with dementia), and also encourages children and young people to engage with classical music.
