Help our staff travel between the town centre and Batford by volunteering as a Sunday Shuttle Bus Driver.

We are looking for a reliable and friendly volunteer driver to support staff transport between Harpenden town centre and Batford on Sunday mornings and afternoons. 

Key responsibilities

  • Drive a shuttle route in a Harpenden Mencap bus
  • Transport staff safely in the morning from 6.30am - 7am, and possibly in the afternoons (times TBC)
  • Ensure timely and smooth journeys to support staff attending their shifts
  • Provide a welcoming and professional presence while driving

This role helps ensure staff can travel easily and reliably to their workplace on Sundays. 

Your qualities and characteristics

  • Aged 25 - 70 years
  • Full, valid and clean UK driving licence
  • Confident, safe and responsible driver
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Able to commit to early Sunday morning and afternoon shifts

Support provided

Full guidance and any necessary induction will be provided before you start volunteering.
