We need volunteers to facilitate workshops and act as table buddies. You'll help with recruitment activities and share your career experiences.
Approximately 40 Year 7-11 students, all on roll with an Educational Health Care Plan.
Most of the pupils are autistic with significant Social Emotional and Mental Health challenges, whilst others have comorbidity with a range of diagnoses.
Volunteers deliver interactive recruitment and employability workshops and/or take the role of mock interviewee. Workshops last approx. 35 minutes.
Role: We need volunteers to facilitate workshops and act as table buddies. You'll help with recruitment activities and share your career experiences, making this ideal for those who enjoy varied roles outside of school. Activities: Work with small groups on career-focused discussions and activities (approximately 35 minutes each). Some students may find this challenging, but your support will help them engage and participate. Support: A structured timetable will be provided, but flexibility is key. Teachers and the ELSA team will offer full support to ensure a smooth experience.
Impact: Help students network, understand employer expectations, and participate in interactive workshops and mock interviews.
Your involvement will inspire students to recognise their potential and explore future career opportunities.
Contact: To volunteer, please do get in touch, we can organise a Teams call and send you more info about the day, including an ELSA Volunteer Registration Form.
Your contribution is invaluable and will have a significant impact on these young people's futures.
Thank you!

ELSA Next Generation works across all educational settings raising aspirations in children’s homes and with care leavers, with young people who are excluded from school, those with physical and neurological disabilities, those young people with social, emotional and mental health needs and others in mainstream schools who may simply be 'currently' getting lost in the ether.
