Support students in the creation of CV's.
Approximately 15 Year 11-13 students, all self-excluded from mainstream school.
Volunteers participate in a practical, aspiration-raising workshop supporting students to create their CVs, explore modern CV templates and formats, and for the young people to begin to recognise the skills and strengths they already have.
The students attending Heartwood House have often found mainstream education challenging and may arrive with lower confidence or feelings of anxiety. Building trust and creating a positive experience is incredibly important.
Your patience, encouragement and genuine interest can make a lasting difference. The focus is not on getting the “right” answers, but on helping students recognise their strengths, build confidence and gain a positive insight into the world of work.
Thank you for giving your time, sharing your experience and helping every young person feel seen, valued and inspired about their future.
If you're excited to share your expertise, ignite young minds, and be a part of a transformative experience, please reach out to us.
Your ideas and insights are very welcome!
Your involvement matters, and we sincerely thank you in advance for making a difference.
