Use your financial expertise to guide strategy, oversee charity finances and make a lasting difference as a Treasurer Trustee at Citizens Advice Stevenage.
As Treasurer Trustee, you will work within the aims, policies and principles of the Citizens Advice to:
• make a positive impact for people in your local area by ensuring the local Citizens Advice is sustainable and meeting the needs of the community
• meet people and build relationships with trustees, staff and other volunteers
• build on your governance, leadership and strategy skills
• increase your employability
And we’ll reimburse expenses too.
You will provide financial oversight and strategic guidance to Citizens Advice Stevenage, helping to ensure the charity's financial sustainability, good governance, effective budgeting and strong financial controls. Working closely with fellow trustees and staff, you will monitor financial performance, support long-term planning, chair Finance Committee meetings and help the board make informed decisions that enable the charity to continue serving the local community.
Trustee boards usually meet in the evenings, and you’ll likely need to give 12 – 15 hours at meetings across the year and you may need to attend other meetings if you’re involved in specific projects. Additionally, you may need to meet with volunteers and staff occasionally within the local Citizens Advice. We can be flexible about the time spent and how often you volunteer so come and talk to us.
