CTBR UK was established in 1992 to provide recovery support for individuals battling addiction. Through our retreats and a non-proselytising 12 Step programme, we help people find healing, support, and personal transformation, providing the tools to thrive in sessions led by lived experience practitioners. In the past 2 years alone, we have supported over 550 individuals across the UK in overcoming addiction, rebuilding their lives, and encouraging them to make choices to become healthier, more resilient individuals. Many of our attendees return to volunteer and support newcomers in their recovery journey.
The demand for addiction recovery services in the UK continues to grow. In the UK, nearly half of UK adults aged 18-75 have either directly experienced addiction in themselves or a loved one. Over half of these people feel unable to talk freely about this. Many individuals lack access to affordable, impactful, and non-clinical recovery support, leaving them vulnerable to relapse. Our retreats provide a safe, structured environment where individuals can be immersed with tools for change.
