Summary

We are looking for someone who has knowledge, interest or experience of DIY, woodworking, craft or trade skills to help give our members new opportunities.

Detailed description

At Talkback-UK we have several volunteering opportunities for people to work with our members in our groups or services which are all with the aim of giving people with a learning disability or autism the opportunities they want and deserve to enjoy life. We have a social enterprise which is an Accessible workshop so particularly keen for anyone with woodworking or DIY skills and interests to help there for as much or as little time as they can offer. We have a comprehensive training package and a dedicated volunteer coordinator as well as staff to support and lead the group so experience with those with a learning disability or autism is not necessary, it’s the wood working skills we focus on for this particular role.

The workshop operates on week days between 9.30-3.30.
