Volunteers needed to join our friendly, funloving team to support with setting up our local community festival,Detailed description
We are a local charity supporting general wellbeing and good mental health in our local communities. We hold an annual music festival with the objective of getting together, having fun, making friends and raising awareness of the need for wellbeing and JOCA.
In the weeks running up to the event we will need people to collect various items from the local area and deliver to the site, or store.
On 17th June we will be looking for help with setting up the site and preparing the event. Activities will include:
- Collecting and moving various items (some large and heavy)
- Heavy lifting and moving
- Setting up stages, bars, fencing etc
- Putting up tents and small marquees
Particular skills we need are:
- Handymen/women, trades people (electricians, fitters etc)
- Fit people able to lift and move heavy items
- Anybody with any storage space to loan prior to the event
- People with vans/trucks to help move items
We are a fun-loving, friendly and welcoming team and whilst it is hard work, setting up JOCAFest is always a really exciting and fun time. We will happily support any individuals wishing to use the event towards Duke of Edinburgh, college, Uni or other.
There will be a volunteer barbecue in the evening once set up is complete, for those wishing to camp please bring a tent.
