Volunteers needed to support with running our lovely community festivalDetailed description
We are a local charity supporting general wellbeing and good mental health in our local communities. We hold an annual music festival with the objective of getting together, having fun, making friends and raising awareness of the need for wellbeing and JOCA.
In the weeks running up to the event we will need people to collect various items from the local area and deliver to the site, or store.
On 18th June we will be looking for help with manning the event. Activities will include:
- Collecting and moving various items (some large and heavy)
- Guiding stall holders to their pitch
- Car parking attendants
- First Aid
- Manning bars
- Preparing fruit and drinks
- Manning stalls
Particular skills we need are:
- Face-painters
- Fit people able to lift and move heavy items
- Kid's entertainers
- Qualified first-aiders (we will provide kit)
- General helpers for barwork, carparks, runners etc
We are a fun-loving, friendly and welcoming team and whilst it is hard work, setting up JOCAFest is always a really exciting and fun time. We will happily support any individuals wishing to use the event towards Duke of Edinburgh, college, Uni or other.
