We are looking for a Marketing Manager in a volunteer role to develop and manage marketing programs, support business objectives and advance brand building.

Detailed description

The de Havilland Aircraft Museum is a charitable trust, run and operated by approximately 170 volunteers. We are funded completely through visitor admissions.

Your responsibilities would include:

  • Partner with our Aircraft Restoration, Curation, Events, Experiences, Group Tours and Learning teams in creating a strategic marketing plan.
  • Build marketing programs to support specific Museum marketing objectives across different channels and segments.
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, driving collaboration with the stakeholders and leveraging the right internal processes.
  • Work with other marketing teams, other internal stakeholders, and external agencies and vendors.
  • Develop business cases for marketing programs at the proposal stage and make recommendations on marketing tactics.
  • Evaluate the impact of marketing programs in achieving their stated objectives.
  • Propose and manage marketing research projects to generate consumer insights in support of improved marketing strategy and communications.

This position would suit an individual interested in volunteering 20 or more hours per month to this role. Some attendance at the Museum will be necessary for team meetings and coordination, but we envision the majority of work could be done from home.
