Our Volunteer Admissions Assistants help us to run the museum on a day-to-day basis, give a warm welcome to our visitors and are ambassadors for the museum.
What will you be doing?
This role is dynamic and varied. You'll be multitasking throughout the day, with a mix of responsibilities including customer service, admission ticket sales, promoting Gift Aid donations, shop duties, and providing information about the Museum. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment and love engaging with people, this is the right opportunity for you.
What’s required for this volunteer position?
Great face-to-face and telephone communication, and customer service skills are important for this role, as well as confidence in working with computers (till training will be given). Some sales skills would be beneficial to up/cross-sell Aeroshop products and encourage Gift Aid donations.
When do we need you?
Whole or part days (AM 10.30 – 13.30 or PM 13.30 – 17.00)
- Tuesday
- Thursday
- Friday
Training and support
Full training will be given alongside ongoing support from staff and other volunteers as needed.

The de Havilland Aircraft Museum’s volunteers are dedicated to restoring de Havilland aircraft and artefacts.
