Summary

Come and join us in the celebration by supporting the charity's 30th birthday at our stall!

Detailed description

We’re excited to share that Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) will be celebrating our 30th anniversary at this year’s CUH Summer BBQ, taking place all day on Wednesday, 2nd July at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

We’d would be grateful for any support to volunteer and be part of this special day, celebrating alongside our fantastic NHS colleagues.

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with:

  • Event set-up (e.g. arranging stands, tables, decorations)
  • Stand take-down and clear-up at the end of the event
  • Manning the ACT stand, chatting with attendees and sharing what we do
  • Handing out gelato, provided by one of our partners Jack’s Gelato

This is a fantastic chance to get involved with the hospital community, support a great cause, and enjoy the celebrations — and gelato!

If you are available to help, please drop a message and we can provide details to discuss further - let us know at your earliest convenience. We’d be happy to provide full event details and confirm roles and timings. The slots we have for the day are as follows:

9am to 10:30am (set up)

11am to 1pm

12pm to 2pm

1pm to 3pm

2:30pm to 4pm (clear down)

About Addenbrookes Charitable Trust

Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust is the only registered charity dedicated to supporting innovation in patient care across Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Whether it’s treatment for an emergency, acute condition, pregnancy or long term illness, we believe that every patient deserves the highest quality of care available.

Thanks to the immensely generous support of our donors, Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie hospitals can provide a level of patient care beyond that which can be delivered by NHS funding alone and make projects happen sooner or to a greater degree than might have otherwise been possible.

Charitable donations fund high-tech equipment, specialist staff, extra comforts and vital research to find potential cures and help save lives locally, nationally and worldwide.
