Summary

Till operators must offer excellent customer service and have the ability to relate to people in a friendly manner.

Detailed description

Role description:

This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic volunteer to join our small, but busy shop team. We are looking for someone who can commit to supporting the team on a regular, ongoing basis each week. This role is vital as they are often the main, or first point of contact, with customers. Till operators must offer excellent customer service and have the ability to relate to people in a friendly manner. An ability to multitask is beneficial as till operators may have to answer multiple enquiries while serving customers.

What’s involved?

It is a lively role where an ability to connect with people is helpful especially when promoting Gift Aid. Gift Aid is an essential source of income for Willow. Volunteers find the role of till operator rewarding as they feel they have been able to help customers and also help raise vital funds for Willow’s beneficiaries.

How long and how often:

We are looking for a volunteer to offer longer term support, committing a few hours a week on a regular basis.

Location: Willow Shop, Letchworth Garden City.

The role will suit you if you are…

This is an ideal role for someone who is looking to volunteer on a regular basis, who enjoys working with people. Full training on the till system and Gift Aid will be provided.

The impact you’ll make…

Your support will help our busy shop team to delight our customers, encouraging repeat donations and shoppers to return to Willow.

Your support will mean Willow can continue to provide Special Days for seriously ill young adults.

What can you expect from us?

You will be a part of a small team, who are on hand to support you with your role and offer any training support where required. You will be provided with all necessary resources available and trained on how to use them. We will keep you informed and updated on how your support benefits the team, Willow and Special Days.
