Summary
Willow is opening a new store in Hertford and we are excited to build our new team of volunteers, working alongside Lynne and Deena.Detailed description
Objectives:
To help the Shop Manager maximise sales by providing a high standard of customer service, stock of good quality and quantity, safe and efficient procedures and minimising shop costs thereby raising money for Special Days.
Tasks:
Volunteer Retail Assistants carry out one or more tasks, agreed with the Shop Manager. Tasks could include:
- serving customers
- preparing stock
- creating window displays
- restocking and attractively merchandising the shop floor
- financial processes
Skills required:
No special skills are required.
Training and support:
Full training will be provided to ensure volunteers feel confident in their tasks and that all shop activities are carried out in line with Retail standards and guidelines.
Volunteers are encouraged to share their ideas, support other team members and attend occasional shop meetings. Support is provided to volunteers by Shop Manager, Assistant Shop Manager and the Head of Retail.
Expenses, Health & Safety & Insurance:
Volunteers are encouraged to refer to the Volunteer handbook for details. A summary of the policy is also on the shop notice board. The full Volunteer Policy is available from the Shop Manager or Retail department at Head Office.
Other Information:
Volunteers support the values and aims of Willow Foundation which are outlined in the Volunteer handbook provided to new volunteers.
