Instead of just coming to the club to have fun, you get to help create and run it. You’ll be part idea generator, part activity tester, and part vibe creater.

Volunteer Junior Session Leader – Youth Club

Position: Junior Session Leader / Youth Activity Boss

Organisation: Thrive 2Gether Youth Club

Age: Teenagers (13–17 years)

Hours: During sessions when you feel like being awesome

Reporting to: Session Leader (but mostly yourself)

Job Overview

We’re looking for legendary teenagers to become Junior Session Leaders!

Instead of just coming to the club to have fun, you get to help create and run the fun. You’ll be part idea generator, part activity tester, and part vibe creator. Your mission: make Thrive 2Gether sessions even better.

Your Epic Responsibilities

    • Come up with awesome activity ideas that you and your friends actually want to do
    • Break your ideas into 10-20-minute blocks (you get to plan like a pro)
    • Help run sessions including pool, table tennis, video games, art battles, and whatever cool ideas you invent
    • Test games and activities first (very serious research)
    • Occasionally pose for photos and videos to promote the club (look cool, no cringey poses)
    • Join in sessions and help make sure everyone is having a good time
    • Be a bridge between the young people and the adult volunteers
    • Tell other people about the club

Essential Skills Required

    • Must be a teenager who loves coming to the club
    • Full of energy and creative ideas
    • Can handle losing at games gracefully (sometimes)
    • Good at explaining activities to others
    • Able to say “This is gonna be sick” and actually make it happen
    • Can take on responsibility while still having fun

What You’ll Get

    • Official Junior Session Leader title
    • First pick on new games and activities
    • Real influence on what happens at the club
    • Training on how to plan and run sessions
    • Snacks priority (most of the time)
    • A chance to build leadership skills and confidence
    • Something awesome to put on future CVs or college applications

Warning: This role may cause extreme levels of fun, sudden bursts of responsibility, increased respect from other teens, and the strong urge to tell your friends “I basically run this place.”
