We're starting a new project capturing memories of 'what it was like to live and work' in the Three Rivers District. We seek a co-ordinator for the project.
We are about to start an ambitious oral history project capturing stories of “what it was like to live and work” in the Three Rivers District in recent times. We seek a voluntary co-ordinator to help plan, organise and maintain interview recordings and associated paperwork.
Your role will support the Oral History interview team with these important behind the scenes activities. You will:
· Capture potential interviewee information, which will be passed to you.
· Ensure paperwork is correctly completed and stored safely, to allow the interview to be used later.
· Allocate an interviewer from the team to an interviewee.
· Arrange a suitable location, date and time for both interviewer and interviewee
· Receive digital recordings and store them correctly, then arrange for the interview file to be checked, edited, and stored.
You'll be organised, dependable and detail-oriented, discreet and able to handle confidential information with professionalism. You'll be a good communicator in English who works well with others.
The role will require around 2 hours per week on average.
You'll have (or will learn) skills such as using email, Word and Excel (training can be provided), and be able to upload files to a cloud store.
You'll have the opportunity to become an Oral History interviewer, or an editor, yourself if you wish. But those skills are not necessary to the role.
