We attend various events to publicise the museum. We are looking for an events co-ordinator to plan and organise these events and maintain associated paperwork

We currently attend events throughout the year, and host Father Christmas in the museum for the Rickmansworth Winter Evening.

We are looking for an events  co-ordinator to plan and organise these events and maintain associated paperwork. This will include:

  • Creating an events schedule
  • Arranging loan, collection and return of display items
  • Volunteer rota to set-up, take down, talk to visitors etc
  • Capture and share feedback, and implement improvements for subsequent events

You'll be organised, dependable and detail-oriented. You'll be a good communicator in English who works well with others.

You’ll be working largely from home, but closely with the trustees. A computer is essential - e-mail will be one of the main tools, and experience in word-processing very helpful. You’ll need a bit of time, especially in the initial planning stage and again in the couple of weeks before and during an event (perhaps five hours a week), but otherwise very flexible.
