Summary

Looking for volunteers to staff checkpoints and the start & finish of 3 walking routes for a few hours in between the start & finish times.

Detailed description

We have 3 walks starting and finishing from the same place - 6, 12 and 18 miles - each walk has checkpoints where squash/water will be provided to walkers. We are looking for some help with staffing the checkpoints and extra bodies for the start and finish of the walk. We'll be providing tea & cake at the end so help with organising that and just generally people available for some support on the day! Any cake bakers wishing to contribute supplies to walkers will be very welcome too! Expectation is helping pour drinks, interact with walkers, keep checkpoints tidy etc. The walk is in aid of The Children's Society who have been chronically underfunded during the pandemic, but have experienced a greater demand for helping and supporting children. Helping us will ensure a successful walk and hopefully some great fundraising! Volunteers can also take part in the walk - people aren't required to be in the same place all day.

About The Berkhamsted Walk in aid of The Children's Society

The Berkhamsted Walk is a wonderful day out in beautiful countryside that raises money for The Children’s Society to help support vulnerable children. There are three walks and the routes vary each year.
