Team Up is seeking dynamic volunteers to help transform the lives of disadvantaged pupils by delivering maths tuition at a school in Hatfield

Ready to make a difference to a young person's life?

Description of duties:

We are looking for inspirational role models who will tutor KS4 Maths at a local secondary school in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. You will be matched with a small number of disadvantaged pupils who are currently underperforming and provide them with the academic support and encouragement they need to get back on track.

Our KS4 Maths programme runs for 10-12 weeks on Monday afternoons from 3pm till 4.15pm. We ask volunteers to be available for the full programme.

All our volunteer tutors receive full training, lesson resources, and support from a qualified teacher throughout their placement. Alongside this meaningful experience, you will also be able to gain access to our mentorship scheme (for tutors aged 16-25), online employability seminars, as well as receiving a personalised reference upon completion.

This is an opportunity to enhance your CV, improve your employability skills, and be part of a fun and supportive team - all whilst supporting young people from low-income backgrounds!

What are we looking for?

 Enthusiasm and strong grades in Maths

 Committed and organised individuals who are available for one school term (10-12 weeks)

 Individuals who are passionate about helping to reduce the attainment gap

 Good interpersonal skills when dealing with pupils

We ask applicants to complete an online application form, online interview and free of charge DBS check. Team Up offer reimbursement of travel expenses up to £15 per attended tuition session.

For further information, please visit our website or reach out to us via phone!
