Opportunity to work closely with our photographic collection: scanning slides, negatives and photographs and updating the museum's database.
Are you someone with an eye for detail who enjoys working in a methodical way?
We are looking for someone, or a handful of people, to join our dedicated team of collections volunteers. The role would largely involve scanning slides, negatives and photographs in order to digitise our collection, making it more readily accessible and helping preserve it for future generations.
Some basic IT skills will be required, however full training and support will be given.
A love of local history and knowledge about Stevenage and surrounding areas will be beneficial, but this is also a great way to learn more about the area and meet new people with shared interests.
The time commitment for this role can be fairly flexible, taking place one morning or afternoon a week, Wednesday-Friday.
