Summary

We need Gardeners, painters and cleaners to help us keep the historic Grade II listed signal box in top condition for our visitors.

Detailed description

Volunteers meet on Wednesday afternoons from 2:00 till 5:00 every week to keep the garden tidy, the garden railway weed free, the garden signals and the signal box lever frame instrument shelf and the museum spick and span. In addition there are always painting jobs as well as restoration projects and repairs.

Volunteers should be able to work unsupervised, independently and confidently with power tools, garden tools, paint and cleaning materials. Volunteers will need to become members of the Trust (£10 per annum) to be covered for insurance purposes.

Be part of this great little community asset that is maintained entirely by our volunteers and provides a free amenity to our neighbours and visitors from across the world.
