Summary
This position has two related but distinct areas: Grow payroll savings membership and connect with local organisations to raise awareness of the Community Bank.
Detailed description
Key Responsibilities
Working with the Chair and the Marketing Director, the main responsibilities are to:
- Enhance and deepen our relationships with the key stakeholders in organisations where we have salary saving schemes already in place. This will involve initiating regular contacts with these individuals (e.g. HR managers), proposing and delivering promotional activity within the organisations, designed to increase awareness of salary saving and its benefits among employees.
- Researching and identifying organisations who might be candidates for a payroll saving scheme and the key points of contact in those organisations.
- Promote our offerings with local Housing Associations, primarily looking to offer loans and savings to their tenant communities and to align with their own capabilities to provide advice and support to tenants
- Researching and identifying local organisations/community groups / schools and their key points of contact. Seeking opportunities to promote our services in ways which have relevance to those groups (attending events, placing/replacing posters/leaflets, etc.) While it is envisaged that initial formal approaches would be supported by Board members, the role will need regular contact to be successful.
- These responsibilities will add a level of personal contact, tailored propositions and relationship building to enhance the work we already do via our website and social media activity.
Working Hours
This role will involve both home working and visits to our partners/potential partners. We envisage weekly average of hours spent will be approximately 1 day per week, but may vary as activity develops.
Key Requirements
The applicant should
- be able to demonstrate career experience relevant to an outreach, community or B2B Sales/Account Management type role.
- live or work in Hertfordshire
- Ideally have existing or past direct contact with local or community groups and HR departments, though this is not essential
- no specialist knowledge of financial services is required as Board level support will be available.
