Rickmansworth Toy Library needs volunteers who are happy to process loans and memberships using a laptop and clean and tidy the Toy Cupboard.

Rickmansworth Toy Library  is open on Wednesday mornings on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at Mill End Community Centre and we are looking for new volunteers to join our small friendly team. We usually set up from 9 and have cleared away by 11.30.

Duties include:

Setting up the Toy Library sessions

Welcoming new members

Booking toys in and out and adding new members to the database.

Keeping the toy cupboard clean and tidy

We are also looking for someone who could help with publicity including our social media. This could be as well as or separately from the library volunteer.

Our Toy Library software uses a bespoke Access database and training is provided. We just need enthusiasm and the willingness to support a small local charity with its mission to promote childhood development whilst reducing waste.

Our current volunteers all started when we had pre-school children attending the toy library with us but as some of them are now working full-time, we need more help.
