Do you have good IT skills, a confident writing style and meticulous attention to detail? Can you use those skills to help attract new volunteers to support us?

As a Volunteer Recruitment Support Volunteer, you’ll help us spread the word about our latest volunteer opportunities so that more people can discover how they can make a difference.

You’ll be supporting our Volunteering team by:

  • Keeping our MS Excel spreadsheet of live volunteer opportunities up to date
  • Adding, editing and removing opportunity adverts on our website and other volunteering platforms
  • Reviewing applications received via portals and updating their status as needed
  • Using portals to search for potential volunteer matches
  • Using MS Copilot to help write engaging posts (if you’re comfortable—we’ll show you how!)

Once trained, you’ll be able to work independently, but you’ll always have someone in the office nearby to support you.

✨ What’s in It for You?

Volunteering with us is more than just helping out—it’s a genuinely rewarding experience. Here’s what you’ll gain:

🌱 Develop Your Skills

You’ll enhance your IT skills, attention to detail, and confidence in writing engaging content—all valuable in many personal and professional settings.

🤝 Be Part of a Supportive Community

You’ll join a warm, friendly team that truly values volunteers. Our culture is rooted in equality, diversity and inclusion, and we strive to live our values every day.

💌 Make a Real Difference

Your work will help us connect more people with meaningful opportunities—ultimately strengthening the hospice care we can offer to our community.

💛 Who We’re Looking For

This role would suit someone who:

  • Has good IT skills
  • Enjoys writing and can create engaging content
  • Has excellent attention to detail—accuracy really matters here
  • Can commit to a regular weekly shift, as some tasks may be time‑sensitive

Getting there

About Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care

When serious illness strikes, we're here to help people in our community get the best out of every day. From the moment of diagnosis our specialist teams work with each individual to provide the compassionate care they need, in the place that's best for them. This is what we call: extraordinary care, anywhere.

We know that life-limiting illness doesn't just affect the individual, so we care for those around each patient, too – both during an illness and through bereavement.

It takes a whole community to provide this care to everybody who needs it. Our volunteers, supporters and champions in the community are the driving force behind everything we do.
