Are you a qualified scar therapist with a gentle touch and a few hours to spare? We’d love to welcome you to our hospice team.

We’re looking for volunteers trained in scar therapy to offer comfort and support to patients dealing with physical and emotional effects of surgery, injury, or illness. Your skills can help ease discomfort, improve mobility, and boost confidence — all in a safe, caring space.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing gentle, therapeutic treatment to hospice patients
  • Supporting physical and emotional wellbeing through your specialist skills
  • Creating moments of calm and connection in someone’s day
  • Working alongside a compassionate, friendly team

What are we looking for?

You’ll need to be qualified in scar therapy, have at least a year's experience, and be comfortable working sensitively with people receiving palliative care. We’ll provide all the support you need — you bring your expertise and kindness.

What’s in it for you?

  • 😊 Make a meaningful difference in someone’s journey
  • 💬 Be part of a supportive hospice community
  • 🧠 Gain experience in a specialist care setting

Getting there

About Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care

When serious illness strikes, we're here to help people in our community get the best out of every day. From the moment of diagnosis our specialist teams work with each individual to provide the compassionate care they need, in the place that's best for them. This is what we call: extraordinary care, anywhere.

We know that life-limiting illness doesn't just affect the individual, so we care for those around each patient, too – both during an illness and through bereavement.

It takes a whole community to provide this care to everybody who needs it. Our volunteers, supporters and champions in the community are the driving force behind everything we do.
