You’ll help us manage essential supplies for our patients and ensure everything is stored safely, rotated properly, and delivered where it’s needed.

🚚 About the Role

As an NHS Supplies Stock Assistant & Driver, you’ll play a key part in keeping our clinical services running smoothly. You’ll help us manage essential supplies across our teams and ensure everything is stored safely, rotated properly, and delivered where it’s needed.

This is a great role if you enjoy being active, like things to be well organised, and want to support our clinical teams in a practical, meaningful way.


✅ What You’ll Be Doing

  • Helping maintain an accurate stock database
  • Checking stock levels, expiry dates, and ensuring efficient rotation
  • Collecting requested stock from our main store and preparing it for delivery
  • Flagging items that need to be reordered
  • Updating records as items move in and out
  • Checking NHS supplies deliveries, logging them and storing safely
  • Completing a handover at the end of your shift
  • Once a month: visiting our other bases to support stock rotation


🌼 What We’re Looking For

You don’t need previous experience — just a willingness to help.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • 18+
  • Organised and methodical
  • Friendly, calm and confident communicating with different people
  • Able to keep information strictly confidential
  • Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
  • Flexible when plans change
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office
  • Happy to complete required training

Other requirements:

  • Clean, current driving licence
  • Fully comprehensive insurance (with voluntary driving included)
  • A roadworthy, taxed, MOT‑tested vehicle (if using your own)
  • We will ask for evidence and complete a DVLA check.


🧑‍🏫 Training & Support

You’ll receive:

  • A named manager to support you throughout your volunteering
  • Mandatory training at the start and refresher sessions later on
  • Data protection training
  • Role‑specific training arranged by your manager

About Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care

At Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, our unique care provides a lifeline of compassion and support to patients, carers, and families facing progressive life-limiting illness.

We provide palliative and end of life care support, including bereavement services, within Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire and our patient services are available to adults, as well as patients transitioning into adult services (16 to 25 years.) Bereavement support is offered for all ages to families of patients and those around them, as well as throughout the community, in schools and workplaces.

We are proud to offer care in the place that best suits the individual’s needs, whether that’s at home, in a care home, in a short stay in our inpatient unit, out in the community, or in our purpose-built Living Well Centre facilities. As a hospice care charity, we have offered this support, free of charge, for over 40 years.
