You'll be supporting the nursing team to provide holistic care to our patients and their families.

Are you kind, calm, and happy to lend a hand? We’re looking for volunteers to support our hospice inpatient unit — offering practical help, emotional support, and a friendly face to patients and families during some of life’s most important moments.

What will you be doing?

  • helping with patient's personal hygiene and toilet care
  • helping with therapeutic treatments and activities
  • keeping the nursing team up to date

What are we looking for?

You will need some carer or nursing experience, along with empathy, reliability and willingness to be there for others. We'll give you the training and support you need to feel confident and valued.

What’s in it for you?

  • 💬 Be part of a compassionate, supportive hospice team
  • 🧠 Learn new skills and grow in confidence

Getting there

About Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care

When serious illness strikes, we're here to help people in our community get the best out of every day. From the moment of diagnosis our specialist teams work with each individual to provide the compassionate care they need, in the place that's best for them. This is what we call: extraordinary care, anywhere.

We know that life-limiting illness doesn't just affect the individual, so we care for those around each patient, too – both during an illness and through bereavement.

It takes a whole community to provide this care to everybody who needs it. Our volunteers, supporters and champions in the community are the driving force behind everything we do.
