The Herts 10K is our flagship fundraising event and is now at a new venue, and includes a 5K and fun run. We are looking for volunteers to help in several roles

Herts 10k, 6th October

This year we’re thrilled to unveil an exciting new venue, route, and different distance options to choose from!

The event now boasts three tiers of challenge for any level of ability:

  • Our flagship 10K is back with a new route to challenge your PB – for ages 14 and over
  • Introducing the 5K if you’d like to take on a gentler challenge – open to anyone aged 11 and up.
  • Our brand new Family Fun Run (1.5K) means children of all ages can join in the fun! (under 8s must be accompanied by an adult)

The brand new route at the Herts County Showground follows a mix of short grass and hard standing, and includes some fun features including a ‘roller coaster’ up and down a slope and a whizzy spiral to get you in a spin!

This is a really fun, community event, and our volunteers make a real difference to help it run smoothly, and all say how much they enjoy it.

We are looking for volunteers to help in the following roles:

  • Registration
  • T-shirt collection point
  • VIP tent
  • Handing out medals
  • Bag drop

If you could spare a few hours to support us, you will be helping to raise vital funds to support patients and families in your local community.

About Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care

When serious illness strikes, we're here to help people in our community get the best out of every day. From the moment of diagnosis our specialist teams work with each individual to provide the compassionate care they need, in the place that's best for them. This is what we call: extraordinary care, anywhere.

We know that life-limiting illness doesn't just affect the individual, so we care for those around each patient, too – both during an illness and through bereavement.

It takes a whole community to provide this care to everybody who needs it. Our volunteers, supporters and champions in the community are the driving force behind everything we do.
