Summary
You will support the Creative Therapies Lead to make sure that we have the appropriate art resources and materials in placeDetailed description
Our Creative Therapies team work with patients and family members to offer the opportunity to explore and express complex thoughts and emotions around the experience of dealing with life-limiting illness and loss. The resources that we use to run our creative art therapy sessions are key to allowing our patients to fully express themselves with a wide range of materials.
A volunteer in this role will support the Creative Therapies Lead to make sure that we have the appropriate resources and materials in place, that they are well organised and easily available, and that they are replenished regularly. A volunteer in this role will help to free up valuable time for our therapists to spend with patients.
Main tasks
· create and manage an inventory for all art materials
· support with organising the art cupboard and art room
· support with ordering items and replenishing stock
What are we looking for?
· someone with a real interest in sorting things out
· someone with a methodical approach and attention to detail
· someone who is happy to work with the team, but also happy to work on their own once they have a good understanding of the role
What we will provide to volunteers
💸 Reimbursement of costsAbout Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care
We provide palliative and end of life care support, including bereavement services, within Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire and our patient services are available to adults, as well as patients transitioning into adult services (16 to 25 years.) Bereavement support is offered for all ages to families of patients and those around them, as well as throughout the community, in schools and workplaces.
We are proud to offer care in the place that best suits the individual’s needs, whether that’s at home, in a care home, in a short stay in our inpatient unit, out in the community, or in our purpose-built Living Well Centre facilities. As a hospice care charity, we have offered this support, free of charge, for over 40 years.
