Summary

You will be the first friendly face that will greet humans and animal patients at our hospital, be outgoing and organised.

Detailed description

You will be the face and voice of Pumpkin’s. You will help check in our patients, completing all the necessary forms upon our patient’s arrival and handing that over to the animal care team. As our first point of contact it is important to be professional and presentable at all times.


Role Description


• Greet all visitors, act as the first contact point and so represent Pumpkin’s.

• Ensure all necessary patient records are completed upon arrival.

• Responsible for admission record keeping of all wildlife patients.

• Maintain the reception office and manage the comms system.

• Answer hospital phone calls, emails and phone messages.

• Sort mail, place orders for the centre.

• Liaise with animal team and ensure smooth handover at the end of your shift

Receptionists who are interested in expanding their roles may be able to do so with

responsibilities ranging from finance to HR or stock management.


Skills Required:


● Good verbal and written communication skills.

● Communicating professionally but kindly

● Handling pressure

● Able to multitask

● Driving licence is preferred.

● Strong IT skills
