The role of Gallery Assistant covers a variety of duties including, greeting visitors, basic admin duties, marketing and social media and taking sales.

Detailed description

The role of Gallery Assistant covers a variety of duties. Whilst we wouldn’t expect one volunteer to take on the whole role, opportunities are available for those with skills and experience in the following areas:

  • Hospitality – Meeting and greeting visitors, ensuring a warm welcome
  • Basic administration – keeping the Gallery clean and tidy, leaflet printing etc.
  • Communications & Marketing – Maintaining a mailing database, updating social media etc.
  • Sales – Processing Gallery sales and recording details

From Harlow Town Centre Travel North towards Harlow Town Station At the station roundabout turn left along Elizabeth Way towards The Pinnacles Take the 3rd small turning on right (between Rugby Club and Adams Motors) From the M 11 Drive North on the A 414 for approx 2 miles. At the Gates Garage roundabout turn left along Edinburgh Way to Harlow Town station roundabout -straight over on to Elizabeth Way - take 3rd small turning on right (between Rugby Club and Adams Motors) From the A10 Turn East along the A414 - Approaching Harlow, turn right at roundabout (Eastwick Lodge Farm) right at next roundabout (Harlow Town Station) - 3rd small turning on right off Elizabeth Way (between Rugby Club and Adams Motors)

About Parndon Mill

Parndon Mill provides workspace for artists, craftspeople, designers and architects who have the opportunity to share ideas and use their different skills to collaborate on creative work. Here it is possible to commission an original piece of artwork in media as varied as oil paint, glass, clay, fabric, stone, wood or metal. Art for an office can be purchased or hired, commercial graphics ordered or a building or a product designed. The expertise is on site and can be supplemented by numerous associates with complementary abilities and a high level of professional skill.

The Gallery on the ground floor of the mill presents a series of exhibitions of fine art and crafts and there is always a selection of artwork available for purchase.
