Detailed description

Looking for green-fingered people who like being outdoors and would like to support the local community. We are looking for friendly individuals or groups of people to maintain & uphold the Family Centres gardens, so that they are safe & enjoyable for all to use.


We have a variety of gardens across the service, that all offer something different from courtyard spaces, play areas, large gardens and vegetable patches.



We also need people who can support us with minor repairs/improvements to our buildings to keep them working safely and efficiently for staff and beneficiaries.


Skills/Experience Needed;

Friendly, welcoming, and professional manner.

· Good organisational and communication skills.

· Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.

· Respectful of confidentiality and sensitive information.

· Understanding of diversity and inclusive practice.


Training/Support;

A full induction to the service and specific site will be provided.

· Requirement to undertake One YMCA online training courses

· To understand and implement One YMCA’s policies.

Ongoing support and regular 1:1 meetings

· Access to organisational events throughout the year including Socials, Conferences and Training opportunities.
