To be the first point of contact for families at our centers, providing administrative support and helping ensure the smooth running of the service.
We are looking for Volunteer Administrators for the following locations:
High Trees Family Centre , Broxbourne, EN11 8ED
Selections Family Centre, Hertford, SG14 2DG
De Havilland Family Centre, Hatfield , AL10 8TQ
Main Tasks /Responsibilities / Activities (client, service users, public, team or lone working)
To be the first point of contact for families at our centers, providing administrative support and helping ensure the smooth running of the service.
Key Responsibilities:
> Greet visitors and help with initial queries
> Encourage new users to register with the service
> Support admin tasks such as data entry, filing, and resource preparation
> Ensure the reception area is welcoming and well-organised Skills / Abilities / Experience/ Qualities
(computer literate, telephone, listening skills, driver?)
> Good interpersonal and communication skills · Basic IT and organisational skills
> Friendly and professional manner
> Training / Support (induction, training, safeguarding, expenses, regular supervision, feedback,
frequency of 1:2:1 support )
> A full induction to the service and specific site will be provided.
> Requirement to undertake One YMCA online training courses
>To understand and implement One YMCA’s policies.
> Ongoing support and regular 1:1 meetings
>Access to organisational events throughout the year including Socials, Conferences and Training opportunities.
Additional Information (DBS, policies, language, medical check, provide own equipment )
· Undergo enhanced DBS check
· X2 References required
· Undertake additional training as and when required
· We offer to pay volunteers’ “out of pocket” expenses within agreed guidelines.
