Summary
You will play an important role welcoming patients and helping with refreshments and queries from the volunteer hub while patients wait for their appointmentDetailed description
You will help improve the experience of patients and family members by volunteering at a set day and time each week. For many this will be a stressful time as they wait for their appointment. With a friendly manner you will:
· Welcome and support patients and family members with directions, information requests, questions or concerns
· Prepare the tea trolley and offer refreshments to those waiting, taking the time to assist and signpost patients to our support and information services as necessary
· Esculate any issues that you cannot deal with to the appropriate member of staff
· Maintain infection control practices
· Help us measure our impact by recording all interactions
This role will suit you if you are confident communicator and able to commit to a regular day and time to help deliver a reliable service across the week. Uniform and training provided.
