Social Media Volunteer

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic volunteer to support our social media marketing efforts. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands on experience in digital marketing while making a positive impact by helping raise awareness, grow online audiences, and promote campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, create, and schedule engaging content across social media platforms e.g. Facebook
• Assist in developing and implementing social media campaigns
• Write compelling captions aligned with brand voice and messaging
• Monitor social media channels, responding to comments and messages where appropriate
• Research trends, hashtags, and content ideas to boost engagement
• Track and report on performance metrics (e.g. reach, engagement, follower growth)
• Support promotion of events, fundraising campaigns, and key initiatives

Skills & Experience

• Interest in social media, marketing, or communications
• Familiarity with major social media platforms
• Strong written communication skills
• Creative mindset with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

You will need to be over 18 years old and become a registered volunteer to do this role.

You will receive direct support from the Marie Curie Hertfordshire Community Fundraiser Charlotte Griggs.
