We are looking for a long term volunteer to help with social media posts to improve community engagement, whilst providing information about Marie Curie.
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic volunteer to support our social media marketing efforts. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands on experience in digital marketing while making a positive impact by helping raise awareness, grow online audiences, and promote campaigns.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, create, and schedule engaging content across social media platforms e.g. Facebook
- Assist in developing and implementing social media campaigns
- Write compelling captions aligned with brand voice and messaging
- Monitor social media channels, responding to comments and messages where appropriate
- Research trends, hashtags, and content ideas to boost engagement
- Track and report on performance metrics (e.g. reach, engagement, follower growth)
- Support promotion of events, fundraising campaigns, and key initiatives
Skills & Experience
- Interest in social media, marketing, or communications
- Familiarity with major social media platforms
- Strong written communication skills
- Creative mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

This is an unpaid volunteer position. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and experience levels who are passionate about making a difference.
You will need to be over 18 years old and become a registered volunteer to do this role.
You will receive direct support from the Marie Curie Hertfordshire Community Fundraiser Charlotte Griggs.
