Are you an experienced and qualified first Aider who is keen to support events that are fixing broken items and preventing them ending up in landfill?Detailed description
We are looking for an experienced and qualified First Aider to support our Big Fix events. These events are based on the international movement of Repair Cafes – where volunteer repairers fix broken items to keep them in use and reduce items ending up in landfill. As part of Letchworth Garden Shed’s Library of Things, we will be running four Big Fix events each year.
Safety at these events is of great importance to us and we are looking for a First Aider to offer their skills and experience in case needed. You will work with our dedicated safety volunteers to ensure the safe running of the events.
You will:

- Be the first point of contact for anyone requiring first aid assistance.
- Be responsible for administering any first aid required on the day.
Qualifications required:
- For this role you will need a current First Aid at Work qualification achieved through a registered centre of an awarding organisation.
Our first event will be on 10th June 2023, 10am to 3pm.
