Treasurer and Board Member

We have an opportunity to expand our board with someone who is as excited about bringing a library of things to our area as we are. As we get closer to opening, the number of decisions that need to be made is increasing, and we're looking for someone who's keen to pitch in and help shape Letchworth Garden Shed beyond dealing with the finances.

This could be a perfect role for you if you've been a treasurer before, or have experience working in accounting or finance. This could equally be a perfect role if you're a student, just finished studying business or a related field - we're all learning as we go. There are flexible specialist training sessions available that you could take either as a refresher, or as an introduction.

We're currently meeting weekly in central Letchworth, but we plan to go back to fortnightly meetings soon, and then monthly once everything's up and running. If you have the skills to keep our finances in line with the regulations, design our record keeping procedures, and write up the reports, that's great. If you can do all that, would like to join forces with a group of enthusiastic locals, and think that a library of things would be a huge asset to the community, then that's even better, and we should definitely have a chat.
