Volunteers needed to enable 4-14 year olds to start their Sundays with a free 2km.Detailed description
Leavesden junior parkrun needs volunteers every Sunday between 8.30am- approx 9.30am. Roles include:
Marshal- guide the 4-14 year olds along the course and provide encouragement.
Timekeeper- needs a smartphone with the 'parkrun virtual volunteer' app. Records the finishing time of each child.
Finish tokens- you hand out the position tokens to each child.
Barcode scanning- needs a smartphone with the 'parkrun virtual volunteer' app. You scan the child's personal barcode followed by their finish token.
Tail walker- you accompany the last child around the course and tell the marshals to pack up once you've passed them twice.
Photographer- capture the morning moments!
Under 18s are most welcome to volunteer too but must be accompanied by their trusted adult.
