Summary

The Volunteer Manager is the heart of our festival. You will manage our volunteer team to create a really special event on the UK Folk Festival Map.

Detailed description

The next Kimpton Folk Festival is on Saturday the 4th of July 2026.

As the Festival Volunteer Manager you will be a highly valued member of the Kimpton Folk Festival Committee. You will attend two-hourly monthly committee meetings from January to June. You will be a people person. You will know that volunteers lead busy lives, and are giving their own free time to add to the magic of the festival.

You will liaise with festival location managers to identify how many volunteers they need, and for what time periods they require. You will be in contact with our volunteers to check in with them about what they can be involved for and for how long well ahead of the festival. You will be involved in recruiting new volunteers. Then you will allocate volunteers to roles and make up the roster. You'll send out the final email to volunteers and organise the volunteer briefing meeting the night before the festival. We are a friendly team, trying to make a wonderful festival for people to enjoy. We loo forward to you joining us!

Redeployment of Volunteers arranged if any non attendance.
