Summary

Now in our 10th year, we have an opportunity for someone to join Kimpton Folk Festival's energetic and experienced committee as Volunteer Manager.

Detailed description

The next Kimpton Folk Festival is on Saturday the 4th of July 2026.

As the Festival Volunteer Manager you will be a highly valued member of the Kimpton Folk Festival Committee. You will attend 2hr monthly committee festival planning meetings from January to June 2026.

You will

  • Liaise with festival location managers a few days before the festival, to identify how many volunteers they need.
  • Contact our volunteers to check in with them about what they can be involved for and for how long well ahead of the festival.
  • You will be involved in recruiting new volunteers.
  • You will allocate volunteers to roles and make up the roster.
  • You'll send out the final email to volunteers and organise the volunteer briefing meeting the night before the event.

You'll have a lot of fun at the festival. We are a friendly group, all wanting to put on the best possible festival each year. It is attended by around 1000 local people and visitors from around the UK. The atmosphere is always very special and sometimes electric! We hope you will join us. You will be most welcome!
