Summary

We are looking for dedicated, enthusiastic individuals who can help us grow our already very successful charity.

Detailed description

Could you use your expertise to help give children a positive future? We focus on building libraries for communities overseas who are living in poverty accompanied by educational activities.

We have built 8 libraries in Kenya and the need for more is clear in Kenya and in other part of the world. We need Trustees to help us develop and achieve our long term vision.

Our work is underpinned by sustainability, recycling around 80,000 books for each library we build.

We are looking for Trustees to join our Board with expertise in:

·      Fundraising

·      Grant writing

·      Press and PR

Our Trustees need to have the passion for the work of the charity and the ability to think strategically. You will oversee the charity’s governance and play an active role in supporting our work, leading and delivering our work in one of the three areas.

If you are interested please contact Lenka McAlinden, Chief Executive or go to our website for a Trustee information pack.

About Just be a Child

We believe that books shouldn't end up in a landfill. We believe that they belong into the hands of children and people who may have never seen one. So we build libraries from shipping containers using books you no longer need. We have started in Kenya, but hoped to build libraries wherever they are needed.
