Pound Meadow junior parkrun is fun and friendly and takes place every Sunday at 9am (volunteers arriving by 8.45am in order to be briefed).
We have volunteer opportunities for anyone - whether you want to help one-off, occasionally or regularly. Helping the Run Director and core team can involve different roles such as marshalling on the course (stand and clap the participants!), timing or scanning barcodes or handing out finishing tokens, acting as the ‘Tail walker’ (ensuring no participant comes last!), setting up, tidying away, warm up routine etc etc! We would also love to hear from anyone interested in training up as a Run director. The time commitment is less than one hour per Sunday (0830 to 0940) and any help is appreciated. We also welcome D of E volunteers. Please get in touch if you would like to help or find out more about this opportunity!
