Supporting Herts Mind! Gather 30–50 word football memories from friends/family for a charity book.
About the Role:
I am looking for enthusiastic local volunteers across Hertfordshire to help gather short football memories for an upcoming community book, My First Memory (part of the Two Minutes Past Eight project). All profits from the book will go directly to Hertfordshire Mind Network.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Ask friends, family members, work colleagues, or local group members for their very first football memory (just 30 to 50 words).
- Send the collected memories to our project email
- Help spread the word about the project in your local community, sports clubs, or social circles.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Anyone in Hertfordshire with an interest in football, local history, or supporting mental health awareness.
- Good listeners who enjoy chatting with others about memories and nostalgia.
- Flexible, micro-volunteering role—do as much or as little as fits around your routine!
How to Get Started:
No formal experience needed! Simply gather memories (30–50 words) from people you know and email them to me.
