We are looking for finance volunteers to support our finance team on an ongoing basis.
These opportunities are ideal for students seeking valuable hands-on experience or individuals with a finance background who want to stay active and engaged.
We ask you to commit to at least one regular half-day weekly session, but longer sessions are available. This could be Monday to Friday:
AM: 9am to 12pm
PM: 1pm to 4pm
Alternative time slots can be arranged.
What you’ll be doing:
Under the leadership of a manager, you will be assisting with:
· Purchase Ledger
· Processing invoices
· Inputting invoices and monitoring compliance on Sage and WAP (electronic invoice approval system)
· Reconcile supplier statements
· Project reconciliation
· Gift Aid processing

Am I eligible to apply to volunteer?
We ask that our volunteers are:
- At least 18 years old.
- Interested in volunteering for at least 6 months for at least 3 hours per week.
All volunteers are assessed individually for the volunteer roles they are applying for. We strongly believe in equal opportunities and welcome applicants who are representative of our diverse communities.
Your Skills and Abilities:
- Enjoy working in a team environment.
- Good organisational skills.
- Is currently studying finance or has a background in finance.
Expectations:
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with Isabel Hospice guidelines
- Demonstrate Isabel Hospice values
- Identify yourself as a volunteer while carrying out your duties
All appointments are at the discretion of the management team and are subject to a one-month trial period for both parties.

All our care is free and can be provided in your home, at our community hubs or our In-Patient Unit. Most of the people we care for have cancer, however, we are also increasingly caring for people with other life limiting conditions.
